Our Mission
Handcrafted Muskie Baits Built for the Big Catch
From our humble beginnings more than 15 years ago, our mission has remained the same—to continue making handcrafted muskie baits. Here at Tom’s Custom Musky Baits, we are dedicated to ensuring the quality of our bait, helping anglers from all over Wisconsin catch bigger and better musky trophies.
Meet Tom Harrison
Tom has been and will always be an angler at heart. From a young age, Tom has always been drawn to spending time with his family on a boat. What started with summer days out on lakes later became his calling—premium baits designed to catch muskies. Designed not only to look great but also to be effective in catching the fish of a thousand casts.
From his first encounters with ferocious tiger muskellunge, Tom quickly became frustrated with factory-made bait. Due to their fragile nature and ineffective results, Tom turned to wooden baits. Carved from balsa wood, it was then that he realized how effective custom baits could be.
Soon after his success with balsa wood lures, Tom began to perfect his designs. Later, making molds out of the wooden design to fill with epoxy, and from that success, the 7″ glide was born (the bait that started it all). Soon after, Tom began to sell musky baits to friends and family. Word began to spread quickly, and people began to reach out, and Tom would give them baits to try.
Today, Tom continues to grow the business, perfecting his bait by creating different designs. It was even featured and tested by Caleb Sorrenson and Rich Reinert.

Hand-Painted
Every musky bait is hand painted and made to imitate real fish bait. Allowing for the bait to trigger more strikes.
Premium Hooks
Our hooks are special weight, point and custom made to perfectly balance strength and performance. Each of our hooks ensures a solid hookset and reliable action, helping catch trophy-size muskies.
Hand Sanded
Each one of our musky baits are individually sanded ensure smooth and precise shape. This level of craftsmanship done and graded by Tom Harrison, himself.
Strive for Perfection
From the pouring of epoxy to the final finish coat, every step is done to ensure effectiveness. We don't settle on "good enough" and we are constantly developing new baits and colors.
Tested
Before even reaching your tackle box, all our baits are tested in real waters. We test every bait in the pool behind our shop, and spring-fed waters in the winter.
